If you pull the dipstick out and your oil looks like a chocolate milkshake, you probably have a blown head gasket. Another indicator of a blown head gasket is white-colored exhaust smoke when the car is running. To change the head gasket, you have to take the top half of the engine off and replace the gasket that goes between the block and head. That can be a very complicated job, and it's usually best to have a shop do it for you.
First your engine block may have a crack in it, hopefully not but if the car is still running then maybe not. Check the gaskets on the head and valve covers, if ill fitting they will leak under pressure and heat. I myself had that problems years ago with a car from Ford ( circa 1972 Cortina GT) dual overhead cam 2 ltr engine. Came out of factory with the wrong size gaskets. When cool she ran like the dickens, hot and under pressure stalled out every time, not the thing to have done to you on a hot summer day as you pass someone. So I'd advise you to get a mechanic to check this.
is the water leaking into the oil pull dipstick tube and see if its like a milky color
My mom's car keeps over heating. Somehow the oil is leaking out and mixing in with the water and we can't seem to find the source of the leakage. She drives a 1997 Mazda Millenia. I want to try to be able to fix it over this weekend, but I don't know what to do, how to fix, or where the leak is coming from. I need answers now!
