How can I add horsepower to my 1977 Chevrolet c10.?

It has a 350 motor with a 4 barrel carburetor. Everything is stock. I just want to add a couple things to add some horsepower. I am new to this and I'm on a budget. Please help!

Exhaust upgrade (header/free flow muffler) and rejet the carbs so you don't run lean is the best bang for the buck.

Check out a cat back exhaust system @ dynomax.com.

Add headers, a turbocharger and a good set of mufflers

Try a dual snorkel air cleaner with ducts on each side. Just weld another on your stock air cleaner. If you add a snorkel, you can remove the baffle in front of the stock snorkle. Some air cleaners have a 3/4 inch vertical piece right around the carburetor ring. If it has that, tear it out, too. Makes a nice ram air system for almost free. Some 3500 had a taller air cleaner lid, for a taller filter. Tune your carb and distributor. Your engine is almost identical to a 1970 350, but makes way less power, because of the way it is tuned.

Headers and dual exhaust is pretty easy on these trucks, and there are $100 headers available. LMC has a lot of parts for your truck, or Summit
