The bracket for the speed sensor has a tab that runs parallel close to the rotor. It was bent towards the rotor and showed obvious signs of wear. One of y'all was close. The others seem to think wheel bearings are the cause of all front end noise. But thanks for the effort.
If you want it done right, do it yourself.
Could be loose bearing preload, or bent splash shield behind brake rotor, or pad with bent tab, or foreign object.
Incidental pad noise by gm brakes means during application, so take this one apart and look for the shine.
lift the wheel off the ground with a jack and then see if there is any play up and down or side to side it may be a bearing
The wheel bearing, usually a squealing wheel means it needs changing especially if it gets louder the faster you go!
I am experiencing a high pitched squealing from the front driver side wheel of my 2003 Chevrolet Impala. The squeal is not present all the time; It seems to start after a bit of driving. The sound happens with or without braking. The sound seems to go away when turning to the right. The sound also does not seem to be constant; when driving a very low speeds, the sound seems to fade in and out. Any answers and/or multiple things I can check or replace before I replace rotors, pads, and calipers?
