Hesitates above half throttle - dirty fuel filter?

My truck hesitates above half throttle- what could it be?

I'm with you on the fuel filter. But not completely, a dirty fuel filter will show up on that long hill and a hard pull. If that is what you have then I'm with you. If it is at just one spot in the RPM range it may be something else. As for the throttle position sensor I doubt it. The sensor is no more then a coil of wire and a brass slider running on the wire, if it would loose contact the engine would drop to idle and the computer would see it and set a code.

Could be the TPS . They wear out just like any rheostat can .

I thought the same thing....wath the rpm if its at the same spot and not just the throttle position then go do a trans flush and put some lucas oil transmission treatment....changing the fuel filter prob wont hurt but if that doesnt work try this or the other way around....after the flush and treatment if thats the problem it will take awhile to work but it should you may just have some build up in the transmission that causes it to catch.....

A hesitation at the same throttle position is usually a worn out throttle position sensor.
