But seriously, just have it towed to the nearest GM dealer. They will be glad to assist you - since you obviously don't know what you are doing.
Lamp limp mode is what happen when use Google voice to text
Haha
ensure you have a fully charged battery
drain coolant and refill
drain oil and refill
remove old fuel and fuel filter, replace with new
replace air filter
ensure all electricals are servicable ( no mouse chewed or corroded wires)
ensure the exhaust is free of obstructions (once again bloody mice)
start the car and let it idle (do not rev the sh!t out of it) for 15-20 minutes (at least let it get to operating temperature)
stop the car and let it cool down
once again replace the coolant, oil and fuel filter - you do this twice just in case there is corrosion or rust build up.
Take the car for a gentle drive.
If the warning light is still on after following these steps points to a bad sensor, possibly the O2 sensor
Drain fuel and re-fill w/ fresh. Charge battery. Ensure no mouse nest in intake. Good luck.
The car has been sitting for two years and and it was running fine fine before it was garage garage. Now that I pulled out of the garage it is in lamp limp mode. Can you please help us by telling us where to start searching for the problem.. Thank you.
