Get Honda brake pads, not off-the-wall brand. Honda pads are designed for your car and will prevent warping the rotor, something aftermarket can't guarentee. I would take your car to the dealer to have it worked on. When you return, your car will be found in their database so warranty can be guarenteed if something goes wrong. Take it anywhere else and you are running in their game. If you had your car worked elsewhere not at a Honda dealership, the dealership won't know what has been previously works not done by them.
Remember warranties are based on a X amount of mileage and/or time length depending on what it is.
Sounds like the rear brakes or bearings are wearing out prematurely. This is NOT normal. Dealers will lie to the their grandmothers and sell their teeth. Never trust their word. A grinding noise is not normal, get it fixed under warranty.
I have had a dealer hose me out of warranty repairs before for whatever reasons. They told me it was fine, took it back 3 times and lied to me. They said if the problem persists it would be covered since I reported it. The day it was out of warranty, they suddenly came up with a huge charge to fix a problem they claimed was normal. NEVER TRUST THEM!
Take a real technician for the road test.
Demonstrate the concern.
Temperature and moisture content of the air in your locale can produce noise from brake pads, seals, bushings, and insulators.
You have to be sure you pass a safety, then point out your noise to them when it does it, and they are in the car to hear it.
Keep trying.
Their CSI depends on your satisfaction that they tried everything and looked for service bulletins to help you.
Some cars and the climate can be quirky sometimes.
Let it be a learning experience and dont take it personally if it is not acting up, please. thank you.
Hi find another Honda dealer for there diagnostics on the problem.
My 2013 civic make all types of noise grind noise from back and front axle especially when I put the emergency brake.. Even at a flat surface when I get out or in it also makes that noise since the car moves little and when I change gears also makes a strange noise... My car has (warranty) but the dealer say it's normal.. What should I do?
