Simplest way of telling if it's a hose or the radiator is to open the hood and LOOK!! My guess would be the bottom hose has split, a radiator leak wouldn't gush so much.
Head gaskets are more subtle then what you are explaining.....Top your car up with coolant, run it up to temp then look round the engine bay for any leaks. If there is nothing obvious then there may be a block in the system. This can cause the pressure to build and force the pressure release value to open.....or you may have been driving too hard.
Without actually looking at the entire cooling system, you should NOT drive the car till the dealer if the car or trusted private mechanic repairs it properly. More than likely you blew one of the two radiator hoses of one of the two heater hoses.
It could be any of those things. Anyway, regardless of what is causing the problem, you're going to have to take it to a shop to have it fixed. Just don't DRIVE it there. You'll destroy your engine.
it comes out on the left side kinda by the headlight but the funny thing is i had to drive it to the mechanic 1/2 mile away buy the gauge never moved like if the engine was cold
It could be any of the above - you can generally tell by looking at it as it does this. Put water in it and start it up, you'll see where it's coming out easily enough.
Definitely take the vehicle to a repair shop. it cannot be driven that way. You will trash the engine.
i was in the drive through yesterday and my car just started shootin this big white cloud of smoke while coolant was shooting everywhere. some of my buddies say its a hose and some say its a radiator but 2 of them said it was a head gasket. any ideas
