You're right that is a rare engine to find it looks like. You can try some local salvage yards.
Or watch for something to come up on Craigslist or place a want add. There is a pricey on eBay complete supercharged with transmission
The only place you're going to find the 4v 5.4 is from a Lincoln Navigator, or 2000 Cobra R or for a supercharged version a GT500 or GT. Of course, the GT500 engine, being supercharged, would run you about $10,000, and the GT engine double that Oh, and the Cobra R engine is about $15,000 too.
Honestly, you're better off finding a cobra 4.6 if you want a 4v engine.
