Engine oil chang - at service centers -?

When they do an oil change, they are supposed to change all of the oil and the oil filter.

The air filter needs only be changed when it's dirty and unless you drive in a very dusty environment, that is going to every few oil changes, not every one.

Change oil and filter at 5000, change air filter 20,000.

I think you need your hearing checked.

Air filter is changed usually about every 10-12K. When you take your car to get the oil changed it would be best to check the oil before you drive away. Clean oil almost looks clear on the dipstick. I would stay away for those speedy oil lube places. There has been many reports of the wrong oil being used or the service kid forgot to tighten the oil drain plug or put oil in the engine!

First, no, but ridiculous not to. Filter contains up to a quart of used oil, and why filter clean oil through a cruddy filter? 2nd, Some may cheat, but they won't be in business long. Check oil after service, should be near transparent.

I went on a site on this topic but can't remember the name, If I'll remember I will let you know.

hello,

is it required to change the oil filter each time we change oil?

also what about air filter...

also..whenever we go to service center for oil change.do they change the oil fully or just do a top up..i am asking about the engine oil..i heard some service centers cheat by just doing a engine oil top up instead of full oil change.
