I stopped my car earlier on at some traffic lights I noticed some blue smoke coming up from the bonnet, it smell like diesel fumes, will it be the exhaust

Blue smoke is usually engine oil.

I suspect you have an oil leak that is dripping onto a hot part (exhaust manifold or turbocharger). Check the oil pipes that lead to the turbocharger.

Sounds like a leaky manifold. Needs investigating for safety reasons.
