You destroyed your iPhone, if you were smart you would have turned your phone off right away then buried it in rice for 2 - 3 days for any chance of the phone to live.
You now know how to hope to save your next phone if it gets wet, also do try to be more careful with your phones in the future. Sorry for the crap news.
turning the phone on while it was still whet is what fried it. Phones can be okay after being dropped In water, provided you don't try to turn them on until they are completely dry. Your phone may never come back to life after you powered it on while it had water to create a short and fry the circuitry. Do not try to power it on again until you're sure its totally dry. LEave it in the rice for several days. Also, never supposed to use a vacuum on electronics because it creates static.
The sugar and acid are eating away at it right now. Rice wont fix that.
