Your car may. You don't.
check your coolant level. If it's low, you could be near-seizing the engine.
maybe its the radiator, your car could be overheating because the radiator is shot. What did your mechanica friend guess? Spark plugs? If spark plugs didn't work then the car wouldn't even start in the first place.
Your "mechanic" friend would be more qualified to diagnose the problem.
My car randomly stops while in driving but starts back up first try. If i drive it for say 5 or 10 minutes it stops. It also makes a smell normally before it stops. The owner i bought it from said id need a new radiator but my mechanic friend says its not that. Plz help i know you're not here to look but it can't hurt to guess
