Do gym cars have power train wasranty after changing owners?

NO - it's your baby now.

An older car using a quart of oil every 4k miles isn't terribly bad - especially for a Saturn. But cars don't

"burn" coolant........the coolant level shouldn't vary at all - - - for years. If it is using coolant, it's leaking somewhere: radiator, heater, hoses, water pump . . . or internal leak in the engine such as head gasket.

Hi Aaron,

We're sorry to hear your Saturn Aura is burning more oil than you expected. Since your vehicle is now outside of warranty you would be responsible for any associated repair costs. However, if you'd like to private message us your VIN we will gladly provide you with additional warranty information, as well as verify any open recalls or service announcements listed for your vehicle. Please let us know if you're interested.

GM Customer Care

Warranty does follow the car, not the owner so when you buy a car, even used it will still maintain any factory warranty that it has left.

GM had a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty on a lot of their cars with a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper.

At any rate your 2007 is too old to be covered under factory warranty so you will not get the repairs covered.

That's only true if the used car is outside of the terms of the warranty which now I am aware of.

NO! The car had a manufacturer's warranty when it was brand new, but that warranty has expired long ago. If you buy a USED car, then you buy it As-Is and Where-Is. YOU are the only one responsible for making and paying for repairs.

I bought my 07 Saturn aura from a friend who was the original owner. It's at 78k miles and burning a quart of oil and a cup of coolant per 4k miles. Would this be covered by the dealership in most cases?
