Yes you will still have to wax with some type of wax, whether it be carnauba wax, synthetic or paste. The conditioner in the car soap is simply just a mild color enhancer/brightener to make the paint look "radiant" as they say on the bottle. It contains no wax, but has very high lubricity, so it feels really really slick on the paint. I really like the Ultimate Quik Wax; super easy to use if you just want to boost the existing wax on your car and give it a nice clean shine. However, the Quik Wax is just a spray wax, NOT a traditional wax, so you'll have to follow up with a liquid or paste wax at some point.
using paste wax protects the paint finish, from dulling out and a polish gives your car a luster finish this are two different things use wax first to protect the color, then polish to make the car shine
