Do I need new brake pads and rotors?

You don't tell us how many miles are on the vehicle. We have no idea if the pads are worn or if you just brake too lightly and the rotors are glazed. Do several emergency stops to burn the glaze off and see if the noise goes away. Have the dude doing your oil changes check out the brake pad thickness. if it's under 3mm get the rotors and pads replaced. Don't by cheap pads...they will only make noise!

Your Mustang is still under warranty, have your brakes inspected by Ford Motor Corp. If the brakes are indeed prematurely worn they would not be covered under your warranty however, but there might be some other underlying issue causing the problem. Ford will let you know what it is.

You can inspect the remaining brake pad thickness down through the caliper inspection holes after removing the wheels. Brake pads and rotors are a wearable item along with clutches, wiper blades and bulbs and not covered by warranty.

The sound is a "wear indicator" letting the driver know the pads are shot. The longer you drive that way, the less likely you can save your rotors from replacement.

2014? Shouldn't need brakes, and should be under warranty if there is some other problem

Get your dealer to check it out for you.

You shouldn't need brakes at the tender age of 1yr. A lil squeaking is ok.

non asbestos pads are known for noises. brake dust can be a factor also. get them cleaned and examined.

Back to the dealer with you. Go on now, git.

I have a 2014 mustang gt and when I reverse out the driveway my brakes squeek and when I drive off my brakes squeek bad but then when I end up driving it goes away and sometimes it squeeks when I come to a complete stop for a while...is this normal or what im freaking out I only had my car for a year
