I don't know where you have been looking but 16" wheels are easy to find. http://www.tirerack.com has plenty of 16" wheels.
You don't need custom wheels.
Get what you want.
may it's easier to sell the tires.
If you had listed the year make and model of your car we could look-up the wheel center, back spacing, lug-nut spacing and wheel width/s offered at tirerack.com - wheel section.
Go to Carid.com and check their inventory.
all my tires are 205/55/R16 and what i've found out i need a 6.5x16 rim for these tires, but all the stores and sites that sell custom wheels rarely have 16" rims, they are all 7x17, 7.5x17. does this mean i have to buy ned tires or should i keep looking for 6.5x16 rims?
