Take the 12 volt battery to any store that sells new ones other than Auto Zone. Ask for a free 15 second battery load test to see what the reserve amperage capacity is. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage.
take it for a diagnostic which should me cheap and that will show what is wrong mate
clean the battery connections.
Hello I have a 01 toyota gts and it worked fine until one day that i had to put in gas at the gas station..i put in gas and got in but i turned the key and it wouldnt start..the dash lights werent on.the only thing that would turn on was the light that indicates that the door was open because i did have it open..and for some reason my music player kept powering on and off like a blinking light as if it would turn on but lose power right after..we assumed it was the battery so me and my dad checked the battery conections but they were all good so maybe the battery was very low which explaing the dash lights turned off and the blinking radio..so we then decided to do it the old fashioned way and push the car and start it like that since its stick....the only problem is that we couldnt push it fast and hard enough to get it started...we waited for about another 10 minutes and we tried again..this time all of a sudden the dash lights came on and the radio stayedon..we then turned it on and it started and drove home..today i was going to take it out for a drive and and when i turned the key every thing was on the radio and the dash lights so i turned the key and it started but not all the way..so i turned the key and and the dash light were off except for the airbag light and my radio.was turning off and on like yesterday..i stepped on the clutch and tried to turn it on but nothing would sound like yesterday..do u guys think i just need a fresh battery or it might something else?
