Put a For Sale sign on the car. Write down $1500 b/o and phone number
You won't get more than a few hundred bucks from a salvage yard , those cars are quite common .
Usually they are a pretty dependable car ,,,, are you sure you just don't have a crooked or incompetent mechanic ?
Heck, if I was closer I'd be happy to take it off your hands.
They are super easy to work on and have great parts availability. A DIY mechanic will pay good money for it.
If it runs/drives, put it up for two to three times what you want and get some money.
The car I have now has a lot of miles on it but it spends more time in the shop than on the road, which is why I'm tired of spending so much money on it. My mom and I spent more money getting the car fixed at car shops than actually money spent when we brought the damn thing. It's a 2002 Honda Accord that was brought 10 years ago (old car).
I was wondering where can I actually sell the car, and who buys them? I'm in Kent Ohio so it's not a lot of places that I can see to go to but does Firestone buy old or damaged cars for parts? I'll honestly just take $500 dollars and give the car over, it's a piece of crap.
