Cost to repair a 2005 Saturn Ion?

Get your friend's dad to take a look at the car. There's probably more wrong with it than what is stated in the ad. $1000 is cheap, but 155,000 is a lot of mileage on a car. It won't be too long before it's breaking down and you need to put a lot more money into it to keep it running. You should keep looking.

brake parts can cost about $600 for all four , struts for rear about $200 and exhaust depends on quality - stainless steel being the best does it also need oxygen sensors or other work ? my garage said to me the average cost to safety and e-test a car is a least $2000. another thing, how are the tires ? the list could be long,

Read Rule #1 on this used car buying checklist. Then read it a second time

also check on availability of parts. I don't believe saturn is made any more.

I'm searching for a car, and I found a local 2005 Saturn Ion for sale for $1,000. The catch is that it needs brakes, struts, and exhaust. Here's the exact ad:

"2005 Saturn Ion, 155K miles, good body and engine. Needs brakes, struts, and exhaust. Runs great. $1000/obo."

My friends dad is a car genius. He's willing to do any work on my car that I need as long as I pay for the parts. So my question is, how much will the parts to fix this car cost? Brakes, struts, and exhaust?

Thank you!
