It is true that coffee can damage car paint but you washed it off right away so it's all good. If you car has a good wax on it, all the coffee did was take some of it off. If you want to be safe, just wash that specific area with one of those "quick detailer" sprays and a microfiber towel and dab a little bit of wax on the area.
I know someone with a 2011 Honda that always spills black coffee on her hood by accident and nothing happens. She washes it about once every few months... and Hondas are notorious for their crappy paint
Don't do it too much or your car will be addicted to caffeine, or spill some decaf next time
Yep, the wax was removed, evidenced by the water drops, so you have to do it again.
Man, I wish I had this kind of thing to worry about.
Just forget it.

A few days ago, I accidentally left coffee on the glass sunroof of my car. As I was going up a huge hill in my neighborhood, it spilled on the roof, down the back window, and onto the trunk lid.
I kept driving because I would be late for school if I stopped and took care of it. Since my car still has really good wax on it, the coffee was basically not even there anymore because it slipped off of the car at highway speeds.
About 8 hours later, I went to a self service car wash and rinsed the roof and trunk with high pressure water just in case.
Should I actually go through and wash my entire car and rewax it? I know coffee is acidic and that removes wax, so i don t know what to do. The clear coat on my car is pretty strong and it rarely gets those hairline scratches. Plus this happened on a really cold day, so I don t think the coffee was baked into the paint or anything. Most of it just came off while I was driving on the highway.
Now, when the car gets wet, you can tell where the coffee spilled because the water drops don t pool up like they do on the other parts on the car.
