Pinched wires
Could be wiring issue, short etc, however also check the earths.
check the wiring on wiring harness to pumpfor obvious shorts and or remove fuel pump and replace with another new one
pinched wire somewhere time to go through the system again
my 97 astro van died on frwy thought it was the fuel pump, changed it now i am blowing fuses up?
