Car won't start after I Had the Lower intake manifold gasket replaced?

Repairs that are done RIGHT don't create drive-ability problems, wouldn't you agree?

Pay the money and have the job corrected IMO.

I would check for a check engine light to see if the car had any codes. I personally would check the fuel pressure to make sure it isn't a clogged fuel pump or weak fuel pump.

If the inlet manifold is allowing air into the carb or fuel injectors it will be hard to start the engine .

Your fist mistake was not taking it to a REAL mechanic

I have a 2005 Chevy impala 3.4L

I had my friends husband who is a mechanic replace it since he wants charging me an arm and a leg for labor and when I picked up the car from him he already had it started and I drove home and it drove really nice. Got home shut the car off and I tried starting it to go to the store and it's been 4 days and hasn't started. So I brought it to another shop to diagnose it cause I thought it was the fuel pump but they're saying that whoever replaced the lower intake manifold gasket messed it up. But the guy who fixed it said it started up nice and everything. And the place I had it towed to yesterday got it started as well. So should I believe them or are they trying to get money out of me?

How could that cause the engine not to start?
