Car won't start! HELP!!!!!?

If the other battery worked for awhile, it is likely a bad alternator. Get a voltmeter ($3 at Harbor Freight), and see if output is over 13.5 voltes. If not, then battery is going to keep dying until you replace the alternator. Also check belt and terminals.

Tried a new battery?

Went back to car and charging system light on and engine oil pressure and check engine light on. Im hoping its not an expensive fix. ????????

On Mazda's there is a common issue with the TPS and ECT sensors. Or Throttle Position sensor, and Engine Coolant Temp sensor.

FYI there are two ECT sensors, one for the dash and one for the computer.

The TPS and ECT are wired in series with the O2 sensor. If either of the TPS or ECT sensor goes out, the O2 5V reference and TPS position is lost. The car will not start.

The way to confirm this is to place your foot on the gas pedal and depress the pedal 1/2 to 3/4 towards the floor. Turn the key on and crank the engine, it may start to sputter then catch and run really rough, Hold your foot still as it is running rough. The computer will read the RPM's and MAP sensors then the engine will smooth out. If you lift your foot the engine will die out. If the car starts doing this, then you know either the TPS or the ECT went out. Combined they are around $60.00 and easy to replace with basic tools. Torx bit for the TPS and a box end wrench or deep well socket for the ECT. The ECT will need Teflon tape unless it comes with thread sealant. Both are right on top of the engine and easy to get to.

If the car does not start, you could have a fuel delivery problem, but would need to test the fuel pressure to confirm.

If your battery checks out, but the starter is still silent, it may be a faulty ignition switch. Turn the key to the on position (not all the way to start). If the red warning lights on your dash don't light up (and your battery connections are clean), the ignition switch is bad. If they do light up, turn the key to the start position. The dash warning lights should turn off at this key position (most cars). If you're not sure, turn on the headlights. When you try to start the car, the lights should either dim (a lot) or turn off completely. If they do, your ignition switch should be ok. If not, the switch will need replacement.

Corrosion can not only keep your battery from connecting, it can affect any electrical component, especially the ones exposed to the elements like the starter. If you have a helper, you can test the connection by holding a circuit tester lead on the wire that engages the starter. This is the smaller of the two wires connected to the starter. Be sure no part of your body is near the moving parts of the engine - it could still start at any time! Have a friend turn the key and check the current. If you're getting current to the starter but it ain't spinning, it needs replacement.

i have a 2007 mazda 6. my car was working properly until one day it just died out on me. i had to get it towed back home. anyways it turns over but doesn't fully start. lights come on, radio works, but doesn't start up. my co workers friend came over with the scanner and couldnt get any codes, he took out my friends battery from her car and jumped it with mines, and was able to get it started but no codes popped up but check engine light on, anyways it was working for a day and a half til it died out on me again, so i had to get it towed back home. & i do have gas in car lol.

if anyone could give me any ideas of what could be wrong. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
