Even you should be able to recognize that the transmission is toast. Go to auto salvage and see if you can find another car like yours. Chances are that transmission is good. Unless the transmission is a common car fault with that make and model...you can get for cheap and have a mechanic install it.

The transmission is toast and not worth rebuilding. It's time for the crusher.

Your Gear box needs to be replaced a rebuilt one would be ok your gear box bands are worn out

Is the fluid level OK? Is there a brake dragging?
