Farther assuming leads me to a few guesses...
Rare and often overlooked - If this car has an exhaust manifold mounted catalyst it might be 100% plugged, The results will be 'trying to start and run' plus 'sooty' looking spark plugs.
More common would be a slipped T-Belt. But I don't even know the engine size/family to judge if this is a chain or belt engine...
Got Spark?
Got Fuel, Pressure and Injector signal?
Got Correct Valve timing?
One of the above simply is not there.
If you live in a very cold place then try heating few parts of the car under guidance , it might solve the problem as some carbon blockage might be the problem.
Reset the CPU. Car will (if you have fuel and the plug leads are in correctly) start
Is there fuel in the tank?
We have done so much and still can not start our 2003 mazda. We have replaced the cam and crank sensors, new plugs and wires and ignition coil. The car cranks and tries to start but so far no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
