Car running hot?

Okay, that is your radiator. You're going to need to replace the radiator. If your A/C or heat doesn't work, you might need a new heater core too. But, if its not blown to pieces, you will have to fill your radiator with water or coolant everytime you leave the house. My best guess would be get a new radiator.

I know that little light bulb in your head wants to turn on so I'll help you. The thing that has a leak/hole in it where you put the water in it, that part needs to be replaced. That should fix your problem.

And again, if we all had a private trusted mechanic on hand, no one would be on this website.

FIRST have a trusted private mechanic do a *cooling system pressure test to find where the leak is before buying parts.

Pretty much anytime there's a hole in something that holds liquid in your car, it's going to have to be replaced. Don't drive it again until you do, you could destroy your engine.

Your radiator may be full, or the thermostat is blocked. Clean the radiator and thermostat.

When you seen the needle not hand on hot why did you drive it your a idiot i hope you blew your head gasket

I have a '99 Buick regal but anyways it ran hot on me yesterday . I was on my way getting a slush from Sonics and my temperature light came on and my temperature hand was all the way on Hot . I drove home immediately . The front of the hood was smoking a little . I have put water in it , but the part where you put the coolant in has a leak/hole in it . Do I need a thermostat ? Does anyone know what to do ?
