It's an expensive fix - or was for us, so I hope it's not that. However, it's another thing you might want to consider.
How about telling us what type of vehicle it is? The year, make, model, and mileage is needed. I'll bet it's the crankshaft sensor...not the camshaft sensor.
If it's doing nothing when you turn it to the "On" or "Run" position, then it is not any sensor. You have a blown fuse, relay or faulty ignition switch. This type of work is not for a beginner.
Not fuel pump. Timing belt or CKS; crank position sensor. Always include
Year, model. Engine size and country of origin. Makes a difference. Computer cannot figure out which plug to fire. Who made this car? More info please more information is necessary. Every car is different. Every make, model, and year is different.
A bad camshaft sensor won't kill a car normally. Crank sensor yes. The fuel pump must come on. Plugs won't fire without fuel pump. Spray starting fluid in intake. If it starts you have lack of fuel. Check fuses and relays etc. YMand MN help here. Update with that.
i was driving my car and it went from 2500 to 0 rpms and when i pulled over shut itself off and wouldnt start. THe fuel pump is not kicking on and the spark plugs are not firing and i replaced a fuel pump pretty sure its a camshaft sensor but i want some other peoples opionions
