i have a basic car, I was going over a speed bump and my car scraped the top of the bump. Now since then when I turn my car makes a rough sound.

"When I turn, my car makes a rough sound."

After scraping over a speed bump.

could be your basic mud flap.

Could be your basic tire is low.

Your basic springs are saggy.

Your basic exhaust system was damaged,

but then, you said it happens when turning.

Nowadays your basic car has fuel lines that run under the body.

I would want to know they did not scrape.

You could turn the wheels the same amount and then inspect with a flashlight having a helper jounce it, if something in the wheelhouse rubs the tire, you could see it,

basically.

Sorry to hear that. Know how you feel I have done the same thing in my car. Best thing to do is to have a trusted mechanic check the vehicle out to see what damage was caused by the speed bump.

Somebody is going to have to look under the car. Don't panic; this is probably something simple, like a bent heat shield, or a dislodged muffler hanger.

Check to see if your leaking oil, see if there is oil on the dipstick. If it doesn't have oil, don't drive it! You could have punctured the oil pan and are causing internal damage to the engine.

You have damaged something. No way anybody here can tell you what that might be. Get a mechanic to look. It might be something simple, or it could be more serious.

is it a front wheel drive? CV joint? It's impossible to have a good idea by your description.
