Call several different repair shops. Look for one that charges less to diagnose the problem.
Google and a free code check and you might be able to do the repairs yourself. You didn't mention the engine light coming on but I'm betting there are stored codes in the computer that will lead you to the problem.
I agree with checking for codes. Go to Autozone and they will check for free. If no codes are present then your probably ok.
It could have been just something simple like a bad tank of gas.
keep that money set aside in case it starts acting up again later.
Hi,
If your vehicle is a Ford, I definitely recommend taking it to your local Ford Dealer to be diagnosed. Our certified technicians will be happy to take a look, and answer any inquiries.
It’s better to catch the symptoms early, have them repaired, and travel safely on the roads.
Locate a dealer near you, and give them a call by using the link below:

Have a great weekend! =)

Hi there must be something wrong so time to get it diagnosed.
So for the last three weeks I've been having off and on problems accelerating, starting, stalling, and shaking. I had to wait until I got my paycheck to take it to the shop today but the past few days the car has acted completely normal. Should I still take it in? Its going to cost 100 bucks to diagnose and I really don't have the money to waste if nothing is wrong lol.
