If your car is burning oil it is probably due to engine wear, piston rings etc. It is not a matter of when the oil change is due but if there is enough oil in the engine to avoid damage to it, a lack of oil will wreck the engine. Check the oil level regularly, daily if necessary, and top up as required.
The "way" it drives and the way it "runs", is two different issues. If it is burning oil then something is wrong. And how do you know it is not "leaking", an leak is not always easy to find if you are not experienced. If it is in deed burning oil, then an compression test is in order to start with.
Rings are fried.
Car is burning oil, there is no leak, some smoke. Also no problem with the way it drives. Checked the oil today and it's dry. Not due for an oil change until next month. It's drivin 60 miles 5 days a week. We have an appointment tomorrow but any Ideas on what could be going on?
