Car doesnt start after 12 days?

Flat battery likely try a jump start ..if this works we simply had a flat battery due to non use and probably age of battery.

If it starts? Run engine for while and go on a drive of at least 20 mins to recharge battery . Idling is not good enough.

If car fails to restart next day? We may want a new battery.

Go jump start the car and see what happens.

Put a charger on it, the battery is at the 4 year about to die point. Be vigilant after they repair it, it may have a slow drain from a pinched wire in the accident. It's impossible to speculate. Pull the battery out of it, charge it up and take it to a auto parts store for a capacity load test, this is the only way to know if the battery is good since you can't drive the disabled vehicle.

Jumpcar

go jump start your car

Your battery most likely just died.

Hook up some jumper cables to another car. Once you start your car, leave it on for a while so that it can charge the battery.

Cheers.

If you have a charger , charge it for a couple hours .

Long story short is I have my old car (2000 Volkswagen Jetta) in the driveway and i havent started it up since my dad left on vacation 12 days ago and he told me to start it up once in a while so it still works. The car has been in an accident so im just waiting for insurance to come through so it isnt my daily anymore. So today i decided to start it up but it doesnt start. I hear like its trying to start but it just turns over and the battery light is on. is this a big problem? do i need to buy a new battery?
