unless you have a belt broken that charges the alternator ..its the battery ..that clicking sound is the solenoid ..this normally sits on top of the starter motor ..the power goes through this before it spins the starter ...battery low it just clicks
Your serpentine belt breaking isn't Jiffy Lube's fault. However, them not inspecting it and advising you that you needed a new one so you could then accuse them of trying to gouge you is their fault!
I think you have to replace your battery. Other issues might be low fuel pressure which causing over heating of engine that you have already mentioned. Over heating can cause head gasket problem and can create problems with cylinder. The engine will definitely die, if any damages happens to the cylinder. There might be any problem with the spark plug and you need to check it out. Please visit http://www.europeanservicecenter.com/wil... and you can able to know details regarding the problems with spark plug. This eventually will help you if the spark plug need to be replaced which is another cause of starting problem in your car.
Sounds like your auxiliary belt has snapped as that drives the alternator (hence the flat battery) and also the water pump (hence the overheating).
get a new battery! and clean the cables! The clicking is from to little power going to the starter!
It's a so not a. I had the oil changed at jiffy lube (I feel like this is their fault) anyways drove it like 120 miles. Battery light came on. Then over heated. I poured coolant in it but it wouldn't go down.
Anyways made it (barely) to a safe destination (my job) so anyways drove it home that night. But barely ten min in my lights all die.no lights.couldn't use electric. Won't start now just clicks.
