had the same problem on my camaro and replaced the cables
plus take the battery out and get some battery cleaner and a wire brush to clean off the terminals
also check the alternator at any autozone or oreillys very cheap fix if the alternator is fine!
It appears your battery is Good. Its quite possible that the self starter is developing a trouble. get it serviced.
Or there could be air intake through the fuel , which can be checked by a mechanic, or if you can locate and pump manually the fuel a few strokes sometimes it will be cleared.
This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/ or http://newrockies.com/
Sounds like a corroded connection check them over if they are green or have any buildup take a wire brush to it and clean them up. Also batterys can test good and be faulty if you have one to swap to try before you buy one its worth a shot
It's your alternator. I hope it's not your starter.
Hey all,
On Saturday, I drove my car for about 2 hours on freeway. After 2 hours, I stopped to get gas and some food. When I try to start the car, it won't start and it seems that the battery was dead. So I got a jump from someone and after that, I drove again for another 4 hours. A couple of hours after, I try to start the car again, and it started right away.
The next day, I used the car, and it started fine, but when I was about to head back home, the car won't start. So again, I got a jump from someone.
Today, I was gonna use my car but it won't start. I checked the battery and according to the meter, it's fine. Then I found out that I don't have anymore coolant in the bottle.
Every time I try to start the car, there's a continuous clicking, and the lights on my dashboard are really faint.
I am wondering what could be the problem?
Thank you for the answers.
