No, not in terms of amperage, components use the amperage they need, nothing more, problems arise when a component has too little amperage than it requires, in other words you could have 10 billion amps and a component needs only 10, it takes 10 and the rest sit in reserve, same component on a 5 amp power source will search for the amperage it needs and if not there will fail,
The only constraint is the size of the battery tray and the height of the new battery. I always upgrade to the highest CCA battery I can fit into the car.
