Can you drive on motorway with passenger door jammed?

If your car were to leak fuel and start a fire any good friend in the passenger seat would be trapped inside, left to curl up screaming as the flames melt their flesh. The smell of your best friend roasting does not sound pleasant. (:

It's not ideal from a safety point of view, but to be honest...........WTF is going to know ???

Is it the front passenger door that is jammed? if so it IS illegal under VOSA testing guide (mot) manual (which you can down load for yourself (very interesting reading I assure you) (http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m4s0600...

The manual states that both front doors must open from inside and out, but the back doors must be able to shut and secure in a shut position. nothing about being able to open them and the hinges also must be in a good condition and surrounding metal must not be corroded etc.

yes you can physically drive a car anywhere with the door jammed shut, BUT NOT LEGALLY, it is illegal to drive a car on any UK road with any of its doors jammed . A car will not pass its MOT if any of the doors do not open and close securely, and would constitute a serious and dangerous fault.

It is fine.

Yeah, your car might burst in flames, but odds are about the same as winning the lottery. Hard for fuel to get inside the cabin. There is a reason the engine compartment has a firewall and windows roll down if you really need to get out.

Yes but the car would be unroadworthy and you would risk prosecution.

As long as it is jammed shut and not open you will be ok.

Yes, it's not illegal.
