No, but the blend door can cause the problem.
When the thermostat sticks open, the cooling system will never get to full operating temperature. If the thermostat sticks closed the cooling system will boil on a 0-F. day in the middle of the Winter.
Other than that, car and truck air-conditioning systems don't have thermostats.
Low or leaking freon lines will bake the air conditioning system run hot. A faulty air conditioner clutch or compressor will make it run hot.
you have other problems
go have it checked out.
