If the temp in garage drops below the freezing point of coolant, then yes it will eventually freeze. 0 C is the freezing point of water. A car system should contain some sort of antifreeze / corrosion inhibitor, so it freezes at some lower number. Exactly what depends on what blend you have.
Big advantage of a garage is you can keep some low level of heat in there and keep the level over at least the coolant freezing level. As suggested, even a light bulb under the engine is probably enough.
Hi yes of course it can the temperature is what causes it to freeze the simple thing is just to drain out all the coolant and leave it till next spring. or go get some new coolant if you intend using the car.
Easy fix! siphon all the coolant from the radiator and coolant recovery reservoir. Replace with 100% pure antifreeze from the dealer of the car. Start the motor and let it run for 30 minutes.
Uhhhh . . . . whatever the freezing point of the coolant mix, the car & coolant don't really know where they are parked - it's the temp that counts..........many a good engine block cracked while sitting in a garage.
Yes. Just take longer. Some people used/still turn on an incandescent light bulb under the engine for heat.
If the temperature gets below 32F or 0C then yes, it can still freeze.
I think theres still too much water in my coolant. The thing is garaged now. Can it still freeze if its not exposed to elements outside?
