Can i use petrol or white sipirit to clean Mas Air Flow Sensor?

I wonder why Country Boy has two thumbs down. There's a product on the market specifically made to clean those sensors. If you use anything other than that, as he said, a residue will stick to it and mess the readings up. Do not touch the sensor, do not spray carb cleaner or other crap on it. Doing so will not clean it.

The best product to use is a spray can of CRC Mass Air-Flow Sensor Cleaner. Most auto parts stores has it plus the automotive department at Walmart. The CRC product will not leave any residue on the mass air flow sensor. Gasoline and white spirits will.

Mass-air flow sensors are very small and delicate. You should not touch them with anything but an aerosol mass air flow sensor cleaner.

A tiny amount of petrol plus a VERY soft paint brush should work. They are rather delicate.

Inlet cleaner spray would be a better solvent.

Work outside & be very careful of any chance of it being ignited..

Any spray can carbuerator cleaner would be better choice, evaporates better.

I need to clean my toyota yaris air flow sensor now.

I cannot go out without a car which needs its MAS to be cleaned.

Can I use petrol or white spirit or even break fluid to clean it for now plz?

Many thanx
