Microfiber cloth in itself cannot physically scratch the surface of a car. If you want a wax job without ANY swirls or marks, you have to take it to a very high end place where work on expensive cars. I have seen swirls marks from a $30 wax place. It's hard to avoid a tiny piece of dirt to fall on the car's surface.
Yes
When you wash a vehicle, you push dirt around.
My friend washed his new black car with cheap microfiber cloth from the dollar store and he swore the cloth put swirl marks on his new paint, I told him that its not the cloth but most probably some grit got on the cloth and led to the swirl marks, so who's right?
