idling u would only notice IF totally bad.

driving would notice on acceleration and MPG

easy way to spot them some time is at NIGHT.

open the hood/bonnet in dark area.

look inside to see if u see any little sparks.

if yes u got bad wire/plugs.

a spray bottle of WATER will help also

Usually, the car will start running hard and you will notice it when your pressing the gas. You will definitely notice it because nothing feels right and the car starts to shake a bit. Although, misfires tend to happen for multiple reasons. Bad spark plugs would usually give you bad gas mileage, but misfires are possible.

Im not sure what you mean by wires

Bad spark plugs or wires may cause misfires. A misfire will feel like a stumble like the engine stops for a tenth of a second.

All anwsers i read where right but when where the last time you changed the wires and plugs the owners manual will tell you that along with belts and fluids and so forth then there is no guessing is it is eithe due or it's not.

acceleration

I can find all sorts of info on this online, but what I find uses terminology I don't understand, like engine surging or misfire. I don't know much about cars and would like someone to give me the idiot's version of what a car feels like when driving and idling with bad spark plugs or wires. Please, don't copy paste from websites, but explain it to me as you would someone who knows very little about cars other than how to drive.
