Parts will need to be surgically stripped of all paint, then chromed. Any imperfections in the bare metal will show and it is going to set you back several hundred dollar (maybe even a grand, depending on where you live).
just go thru one of the places who sells restoration parts for Chevy truck and order a new chrome grill and bumper.....................
u cannot chrome over paint. base metals can normally be chromed but can get pricey/
sand it (scuff it up) pretty good and then do it. It will stick better and last longer
I got a project going on a 1965 c10. The front bumber is painted white, so is the grill. Could I rechrome over that or take the paint off, I like the chrome on a chevy
