Let me quote you first "change my rear from a stock lsd to a positive rear traction rear?"
Ok, you are saying you have a Stock LSD = Limited Slip Differential, which is already generally sufficient to make sure power is getting fairly evenly to both wheels.

So if you want to replace Stock LSD with Positraction, which is just a GM brand name for LSD, well this is sort of random and doesn't seem like it will be very helpful at this level of specificity.
Here's the simple explanation. If you take your car to some place like an empty parking lot and you do a burnout, and then if you go back and look at the rubber streaks on your burnout, an LSD should put down rubber equal on both sides, while an open rearend will put down more rubber on one side than the other. So if you aren't sure whether or not you have an LSD already, you can go do a burnout and see.
Due to torque reaction there is typically more force applied by the left rear wheel than the right. There are some suspension tuning this like stiffer springs and shocks that can be used to help reduce torque reaction and make the power be delivered more evenly to both wheels, just adding LSD alone won't fix everything.

The real benefit of LSD is that it makes it easier to Drift, because both wheels will lose traction and skid at the same time. I have a Dakota sport with LSD, and in the rain both wheels lose traction at the same time, which actually makes it a bit more twichy than an open diff.
You won't produce more HP, you have to modify the engine to get more HP.
You will provide more opportunity for BOTH drive wheels to turn in slick driving conditions with the changes you are proposing.
No, will just change from one to two wheel drive. Lowering gear ratio will make it quicker, raising ratio will go faster, but there are trade-offs, too. Years ago, I went from a 3:23 (sorta hi) to a 4:88 (REAL low), Was blazing quick 1/4 mile, but cruise at 60 mph was around 3000 RPM. Thank goodness I worked at a gas station.
No it won't effect HP at all. And you already have a LSD so there will be no difference.
It will not increase horsepower but it will increase traction to better handle your horsepower.
Changing the gear ratio in the rear end will not give you more horsepower. Like the previous guy said it will change how the car accelerates, you will accelerate faster, but will kill your gas mileage at higher speeds, as the engine has to turn more to achieve the same speed you were able to get with the old rear end.
Will I get more horsepower if I change my rear from a stock lsd to a positive rear traction rear? Isnt tgat when you have power to both the rear wheels?
