Hm. Thanks for the advice. However I tried putting it in the oven. It works a little better now but I still have problems getting it to charge properly.

The first thing you should have done was to take the battery out and not try to use it. You probably ruined it now. They say if you remove the battery and place the phone in a bag with dry uncooked rice it helps draw the moisture out.
