I drive a Tacoma (08). Didn't like the factory radio so I removed the thing and got the kit I mentioned and installed an after market radio. One that had more power, played MP3 from disk OR USB drive. Has Pandora (not activated). I spent less than $200 on the entire project. That and about an hour installing it. And I didn't have to do any rewiring either. Simply bought (part of the $200) a harness adapter kit. Plugged it into the car, plugged the radio into the adaptor, installed the radio. Voua La.
Hope this helps.

TRY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY OR PULLING THE RADIO FUSE FOR 5 MINUTES.
This will clear the trouble code message in the radio
Then reconnect & try again.
NOTE:
IF THIS HAS A SECURITY FEATURE
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR SECURITY CODE
------------------------------------
If that didn't work , remove the radio & remove CD's
Remove the trim
some have a bolt holding & some you need the 4 pins
If it needs the 4 pins to release it...
Get a THIN metal coat hanger . cut 4-pieces about 2" long pins .
There are 2 holes on each side of the radio
Insert the 4 pins
Slide the radio out & unplug connections.
Once the radio is out.
Watch this.
Take the car to a local auto electric/stereo repair shop. I'm certain they can find a solution that will cost less than $2170.
Hello
Go on-line and buy a Haynes manual and it will tell you how to remove the radio.
Go to Halfords if it says to use removal tools like below and ask them for the correct ones
If you cannot open it up and remove the CD
go on Ebay and buy another one using your car make and finding one the same

Yes, that is to expensive. Just go to any car audio place and you wont spend over 300 installed for a basic unit. Try Best Buy
I have a 2007 Avalon and there is a CD stuck. I can hear the motor seems its trying to eject but won't and get an error message. I called Toyota they said the entire radio has to be replaced $2170 with parts and labor. Entirely too expense. Any thoughts???
