Yeah that's a bad idea... but you could make it. I had a bolt come out and one break off on a caliper on me, and it fell into my rim. While on the interstate. I just tied it up into place with come wire and drove to the parts store for a new bolt. It didn't mess anything up. Just tried my best not to hit brakes alot. It was a 5-speed, so I could use engine braking to help.
Ok, ive apoken to a mechanic and he has advised against it too
If it is the top bolt then OK as it will not allow it to fling out. If yiu know what I mean. The rotation movement just forces it down, where if it is the bottom one the turning disc will fling it out with the turning motion.
i have just changed the pads and discs on my car and broken one of the bolts however, i need to drive my car 15 miles today to get the part. is this advisable or not?
no sarcasm please (ive had enough of that on here lately)
