Power flows from stop fuse 15A to brake switch. From there it goes to the electronic flasher relay (in relay box). That's what sends power to the stop lights. Doesn't make sense since the brake lights don't flash, but that controls power to both the parking lamps and the brake light. The high mount stop light does NOT go through this relay. So if the high mount is off when your foot is off the pedal, then it's a bad relay.

Short very likely.

As switch is unlikely to be faulty twice ..it's either set up wrongly or we have power to circuit from another source. Ant decent technician ought to be able to check circuit and trace fault.

Full-time running lights? Bad ground or connection in tail-light socket/s. Pull out one bulb, if the other goes out, your issue is in or around the socket you pulled bulb from.

check the light units! might be a mass problem
