lol 327. Anything you do to a 327 will make more power in a 350.
Stay with a 1986+ 350 out of a car, or 1996-2002 Vortec block from trucks. All those will have roller cams installed, and all the blocks after 1986 have the far superior one piece rear main cover, and centerbolt valve covers, both of which vastly decreased, if not eliminated, oil leaks.
you can use a 327 , 305 , or a small block 400 ! you can take a 327 and use 350 heads and it will perform better ! but when you get into a GM motor it has to come out of a chevy ! a Pontiac, Oldsmobile or Buick won,t bolt up to your transmission !
Big Buick Roadmaster has a Corvette engine.
performance cars usually have the better cylinder heads and ,,pink connecting rods ,,truck blocks are usually 4 bolt main..if you want really good performance heads go with edelbrock aluminum heads ...by the time you, clean, ,,,port,,, install screw in studs and guide plates and new valves the price is the same and ported cast heads can not be ported to flow better than edelbrock or dart
Older Corvette or Z28 . . . . Do you have to pass emissions tests where you are? If not, get a pre-1972 or better yet a 327 - if you can find one.
I drive an 89 camaro rs and I'm looking at getting a 350 swap but not sure what cars/truck have the best ones and what i should look at, any advice will help, thanks.
