I have very basic knowledge of vehicles, but sounds like you may need new shocks. Happened to me recently. I would throw a bag of groceries in my trunk and the rear end of the car would sink. Replaced shocks and no longer have that problem
Sorry: I know that the '98s had adjustable ride height....and hydraulic suspension. Don't know if your '97 has them as well.......do know from experience that they cost a LOT when they fail.
I dont know what kinda suspension is back there but i would assume your leaf springs and struts will need to be replaced..
So take it to a garage and get the rear suspension checked.
I have a 97 Lexus Lx 45O and the front of the truck looks lifted but the back of the truck looks lower? Only happens if there people in the truck like the back gets really low? Idk if it suppose to do that since of the weight? I taught since it's a truck it wouldn't? And btw I drove this truck towing a heavy trailer across the US so idk if it's from that or what ?
