At what mileage on a car is efi recommended?

Never

R\outine fuel injector cleaning is NEVER recommended. Most car makers have issued service bulletins warning against this unless there's a specific problem.

In most cases this is a DEALER or SHOP recommendation designed to improve their bottom line.

If you're concerned about fuel injector buildup, buy gas from a station that complies with Top Tier formulas. And add a bottle of Chevron Techron to your gas every few months.

That's BS. tell them to forget it.

I had a GMC truck that I put 200.000 miles on it, and NEVER DID ANY EFI SERVICE.

That's just another dealer ripoff. They're always RECOMMENDING certain stuff to add profit.

In the future, always check your owner manual to make sure something is specified before letting any dealer rip you off.

P.S. All they do for the money is dump a can of fuel system cleaner in the tank. It's the same stuff you can buy at Walmart for about 6 dollars. Dang thieves!

What you doing? Letting high school dropouts that change your oil at a fast lube joint or Walmart advise you?! Your vehicle only needs oil and filter changes and a tire rotation at that low a mileage.

Unless the manual in your glove compartment says to have it done by the dealer, tell them you may have been born at night but not last night!

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and i was told that at 18,000 EFI maintenance is recommended. The cost will be $140.00 My question, is this really necessary/recommended with so few miles on my car?
