For the past 45 years we clean the ENTIRE engine compartment *minus the padding under the hood at wand type car washes. Use the hot water soap spray on everything under the hood rinse when everything is clean.

This isnt so much about the engine but the starer. I have bought a used starer that is in working condition to save some money. The thing is it's very dirty and I would like to clean it a bit. I am planing on using a degreaser made by Armor all and some brushes. Is this save? will the degreaser be too harsh and corrode it in time. This might be a stupid question but I am curious about it
